TOUR: Lower Grand River Marshes
Paddle directly from Grand River Kayak, under a bridge and around the “Grand Island Bar-B-Q” into an expansive wetland.
This tour departs and returns to Grand River Kayak. The current in the Lower Grand River is very slow, and it is a simple matter to paddle both ways.

Kayak Lesson & Tour Combo
Are you curious about paddling? Do you want to know where to start….how to select a kayak, pick paddle, use your safety equipment and basic on water skills? This course has been designed for you!
Geared toward the beginner, kids or seniors, everyone is sure to have fun while experiencing something new!
Approximately one hour of instruction foloowed by a tour of the lower Grand River marshes!
Kardio Kayak Level 1 Spring Session
The focus of the beginner level class is learning proper paddling techniques and getting comfortable with the kayak. This is a fun, relaxing and more social class, great to familiarize yourself with the sport of kayaking!
The exercise component will be mostly building paddling endurance, and exercises to assist learning forward stroke, sweep stroke, bow and stern rudder, reverse paddling, all the while working on focus and balance.

Building on the skills developed in the beginner class, we’ll push your cardiovascular system to the next level!
Now that you have the confidence
and balance to do more in your kayak, we will switch gears to introduce
straightforward endurance paddling at a higher intensity, sprinting and interval
training. This class will allow you to refine the skills you learned in the
beginner class working towards execution of a “proper forward stroke”!
