This course is the foundation certificate for anyone wanting to pursue further certification, including instructor training, under the Paddle Canada Kayaking Program.

This full day kayaking lesson will teach the beginning kayaker the basics of sea kayaking, including boat designs, required and optional equipment, terminology, dressing for paddling conditions, basic strokes, turns & stops, as well as edging and more
advanced rescue techniques. Packing for day and overnight trips is also covered.
This course includes teaching the wet exit, so prepare to get wet
In addition to our standard registration and waivers, participants taking a Paddle Canada certified skills course must also sign a Paddle Canada waiver form.
