RATES
Half-Day Rates are up to and including 4 hours
Full-Day Rates are per calendar day or 24 hours
Half-Day rentals returned beyond 4 hours usage will automatically be charged the difference of the Full-Day rate
HOURS
Pick ups & returns during “OPEN” hours on regular business days.
Early & late pick-ups MUST be pre-arranged in advance.
**Please note that any equipment returned outside of regular business hours and not accepted and inspected by a staff member are done at YOUR OWN RISK and Grand River Kayak will not be held responsible for any theft, damage or loss as a result.
AGE RESTRICTION
Must be over 18 years of age to rent any equipment. Those under the age of 18 require
a parent or guardian to secure the rental and sign a liability waiver.
GROUP SIZE
For group sizes larger than 10 people a $50 refundable cleaning deposit is required.
PAYMENT
Cash, Debit, Visa, American Express or Mastercard
Photo ID is required.
Payment due in full upon pick up of kayaks and/or gear.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A signed Visa, American Express or Mastercard security
deposit is required at time of rental, and will only be returned when kayak(s)
& all gear is returned in satisfactory condition. Lost or stolen equipment
will be charged at 75% of their retail price. Damages will be charged based the
cost to repair.
LIABILITY WAIVER
Everyone who rents kayaks and/or gear will be required to sign a
“Rental Agreement” and a “Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk”.

WE are responsible to ensure that the equipment we rent to you
is in safe and functional condition.
YOU are responsible for your own actions in it’s use.
RESERVATIONS
Highly recommended in advance by phone, e-mail or in person. Credit card number and
expiry date are required to guarantee your reservation, with a 50% deposit.
CANCELLATION, EARLY RETURN & LATE RETURN
Cancelled reservations require 1 week advance notice to be eligible for a full refund.
If you cancel your reservation with less than one weeks notice, regardless of circumstance, your deposit can be applied to the same reservation for a future date within the current season (no carry forwards to the next year). If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or cancel a reservation on a holiday weekend, no refund will be issued and the
deposit is not able to be applied to a later date.
If we cancel you will have the option to move your reservation to an alternative date or be issued a full refund. Grand River Kayak reserves the right to cancel any program, at any time, due to unsafe weather or insufficient registration. No allowable amount for transportation expenses will be provided. Policies, program and fees can be changed at any time without notice.
Full daily rental rates will be charged on all late returns, regardless of circumstance.
No refund for early returns.
