Grand River Tours

Our guided Grand River kayak tours are among the most popular routes amongst visitors to the area.
We are Haldimand County’s ONLY paddlesports outfitters, and we offer guided trips along different sections of the lower Grand River where it passes through the County from Caledonia in the north, to Port Maitland in the south where the Grand River ultimately meets Lake Erie.
The basic routes we guide are broken down into the following sections :
Caledonia to Cayuga : this is picturesque, narrow, and best done late spring/early summer due to water levels
Cayuga to Dunnville : this is a full-day affair, best suited to those that can tolerate sitting (and paddling) for 5 or 6 hours in a day!
Dunnville to Port Maitland : we LOVE this tour! Departs Grand River Kayak and finishes at Lake Erie, in approximately 2.5 hours of easy paddling!
Lower Grand River Marshes Tour : this has been the #1 Most Popular tour for the last 3 years running! A leisurely 1.5-2 hour paddle departs and returns to Grand River Kayak. This is an easy paddle, scenic, and relaxing!
**NEW for 2012 : Lower Grand River Marshes “Sunset” Tours : a unique spin on the Lower Grand River Marshes Tour, in the evening. A great opportunity to explore this route at the best time of day to enjoy the golden rays of the setting sun!!
We can also arrange custom trips to other parts of the Grand River, and in conjunction with our partners at Treks In The Wild, we can guide you on a 5 day journey down the Grand River from “end-to-end”!! Ask us about this AWESOME journey!!
We also offer several “specialty tours” on the river, including Fireworks Tours, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and other special occasions.
We truly offer a “Grand Experience” anywhere in Haldimand County!
