This stretch of the Grand River is quiet and serene with little more than fisherman looking for a catch! The first half of the trip is shorter, in calmer water, with the second
half challenging our core, with small ripples of waves even a novice can
do!
This tour is ideal in the spring when water levels are higher, and may not be suitable later in the season when it may be necessary to “walk” our kayaks to get through shallow
water. We depart at Kinsmen Park in Caledonia around 11:00 AM, with a possible
stop in York for lunch, then continue on to Bob Baigent Park in Cayuga to
conclude around 3:00 PM.
