Explore the Dunnville Marshes south of the dam, following the route from Dunnville to the mouth of the Grand River where it empties into Lake Erie.
The river continues to widen as it meanders south, past marinas and the sites of former boating and shipping businesses, recalling the area’s historical significance from a time when the original Welland Canal ran through and the Grand River was an important shipping lane.
Keep an eye out for skydivers overhead, and boat traffic traveling between the marinas along this stretch of the river to the lake. The tour starts at Grand River Kayak and transportation will be provided from Port Maitland back to our location at the end of the trip.
Please check our calendar for specific dates.
